This week I had a lovely mini-break staying with a friend in Bonn, Germany.
This city is gorgeous - I absolutely loved it!
While we explored and saw the sights, I managed to remember to take a few foodie snaps to share with you all of some of my favourite foodie spots.
I think if I lived in Bonn I would be addicted officially to frozen yogurt, these places were everywhere, along with ice cream shops, and I loved them!! I went for white chocolate with raspberry sauce, YUM.
While taking a day trip along the Rhine river, I grabbed some snacks to eat on the go including 100% fruit snack sticks, protein bars and of course coffee! I loved the cappuccinos in Bonn for some reason and they kept me sight seeing all day long!
One of my most enjoyable lunches was this huge mozzarella and tomato salad with basil. I am a sucker for Italian food- wherever I may be! The last picture shows a dish my friend ordered, which turned out to literally be a bowl of pancake bits topped off with tons of cinnamon and raisins, wow.
I also visited the Bonn Haribo outlet shop which seems to be the thing to do in Bonn! This place was crazy!! You could purchase Haribo so cheaply in massive quantities, which believe me, people were! I saw completely full trollies of the stuff! Now I like Haribo, but never knew it was so popular before I came here. I must say I also got quite excited- buying some of the pick and mix sweets from the 'Candy Bar' where you could find all different kinds, including vegetarian versions! You could also get notepads, mugs, books, bowels, towels and all sorts of merchandise. This is definitely worth a visit in Bonn, I don't think I will ever look at Haribo in the same way again :)
I hope you are all having a lovely and food packed summer! Happy Eating :)
